Love Matters: Loving Your Spouse

Love Matters: Loving Your Spouse Marriage was never meant to be sustained by emotion alone. It was designed to be sustained by covenant. In Genesis 2, God gives us the original blueprint. He says, “It is not good for man to be alone.” He forms woman from Adam’s rib and brings her to him. Adam […]

Love Matters: It’s More Than a Feeling

Love Matters: It’s More Than a Feeling We use the word love all the time. “I love this song.”“I love this food.”“I love this show.”“I love you.” But if we’re honest, sometimes what we call love is really just how something makes us feel in the moment. Because love feels good—until it doesn’t.Love is easy—until […]

Who Are We?

Who Are We? Week one, we said it plainly:We are the church. Not a building we visit, but a people God sends. Last week, we declared:We praise and worship. Not because life is easy, but because God is faithful. And this week, we took the next step forward: Who are we when trouble shows up? Scripture, songs, […]

Who Are We?

A People of Praise and Worship
Psalm 100
There’s something powerful about the follow-up question.
Last week, we asked Who are we?
And we answered it plainly:
The church isn’t a place you visit—it’s a people you belong to.
We are the church.
So the next question naturally becomes:

Who Are We? We Are the Church.

Blog reflection from Acts 2 | Resurgence Church

On the day of Pentecost, Scripture tells us something simple—but powerful:

“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place.”
(Acts 2:1–2)

Before the sound of rushing wind.
Before tongues of fire.
Before the miracle.

There was togetherness.

That detail matters more than we often realize.

Because when God wants to move, He doesn’t start with a building—He starts with a people.

A Resurgence Christmas Begins With Hope

Christmas came fast this year.

One minute it was July… the next minute Walmart had Christmas trees out, Mariah Carey thawed out, and Amazon Prime started working overtime. The calendar flipped, the decorations went up, and everybody started asking the same question:

Mission: Kingdom – Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

pathway destiny calling light

In 1 Corinthians 9, Paul reminds us that the Christian life isn’t Mission: Comfortable — it’s Mission: Kingdom. God has done the impossible in us, and now He calls us to run our race with purpose, obedience, and intentionality. The question is simple: Will you accept the mission?

When the Clock Is Ticking: Truth, Time, and Trusting God

Time is running out hourglass concept

Life doesn’t give us unlimited chances. In Luke 12—and even in an animated film like Puss in Boots: The Last Wish—we’re reminded that the clock is ticking, our time is precious, and truth matters. This message calls us out of delay, distraction, greed, and worry, and invites us into a life anchored in God’s truth, generosity, and trust. If God woke you up today, you still have time to say yes to Him and live like this moment truly matters.

Whatever It Takes—When Faith Keeps Moving

Woman on a Sunrise Path View

When faith collides with what you love most, obedience becomes the true test. In Genesis 22, Abraham’s willingness to surrender Isaac reveals a powerful truth—real faith keeps moving even when the map makes no sense. Discover what happens when trust walks uphill, obedience opens doors, and God’s provision meets you on the mountain.

Leaving a Legacy

Every life tells a story—and every story leaves a legacy. In Genesis 4, Cain and Abel show us that what we pass on isn’t just what we do, but who we become. Like Mufasa, it’s about more than bloodlines—it’s about heartlines. Through grace, God invites us to break old cycles, choose the right path, and leave a legacy rooted in faith and redemption.
